As the Student Ministry of First Baptist Church, we are: Caring People Sharing God’s Love.
What We Are About
The Student Ministry of First Baptist Church strives to provide students:
- Opportunities to connect their spiritual journeys with creative activities and programs.
- Adults that support them and that model a life of Christian faith.
- Useful roles and meaningful opportunities to serve in the life of the church.
- A safe place and an environment in which they learn to take responsibility for who they are and what they do.
- Help in building a positive self-image, knowing who they are in Christ, and in building healthy relationships with people of various backgrounds.
- An understanding of the importance of serving others.
The Place is the home of FBC Student Ministry.
The Place, a state of the art facility, is located at 110 S. White Street,
across the street from the main church campus.
Youth meet in The Place for:
- Open Place—Wednesdays after school and on various weekends to hang-out
- Wednesday Bible Study—6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings for worship and Bible study
- Sunday School—9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings
- Sunday Bible Study—6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings for an extended time of food, fellowship, and Bible study
Junior High Choir is from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary on Wednesdays. High School Choir meets with the Adult Choir on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
College Sunday School is held in the Education Building of FBC. The College Ministry also meets regularly for Bible study and fellowship in The Place.
Students also build community and grow in faith through various other activities, events, and trips, including:
- Fellowships
- Day Trips
- 5th Quarters
- Weekend Retreats
- Camps
- Mission Opportunities and Trips
