The following mission groups are available at First Baptist Church:
Women’s Missionary Union Groups
Margaret Marchman Bible Study Group – a mission study group which meets the 3rd Monday at 10:30 a.m.
Ruth Reed Group - a mission study group which meets the 3rd Tuesday at the homes of members or at the church.
Tasks of WMU: Learn about missions; pray for and give to missions; do missions; develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle; participate in the work of the church and denomination.
** The WMU also sponsors girls’ and preschoolers’ mission groups.
The Men’s Ministry of First
Our Men’s Ministry is committed to “Sharing God’s love, by serving our God, our Church, and our Community.”
We support the missions emphasis of our Church. Our ministry includes, an emphasis on serving and seeking God in all areas of our daily life. They have planned meetings throughout the year.
Our men are involved in many activities and ministries, such as the various Seniors Ministry, and the Royal Ambassadors. Many of our men serve as mentors in the Carroll County Mentor Program. Each Saturday our men perform grounds maintenance. We also are involved in supporting our communities Carroll County Soup Kitchen, and the Gideon’s Jail Ministry and we
compete in various Church League athletic events throughout the year.
Men’s Ministry Team - a mission action group involved in local and state projects, as well as sponsors of boys’ mission groups at FBC.
Mission Trips - Each summer, FBC plans a mission trip that involves the whole church! You may elect to travel with the team or show your support through fundraising and prayer.
Missions & Evangelism Team – Members of this group help identify needs for mission action and evangelism in our community and surrounding areas. This team helps organize a local, state and international mission trip each year
and develops plans of action and activities for our church.
Members are allowed to choose which
agency will receive their mission dollars – Southern Baptist Convention or the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
