Education/Discipleship

The educational ministry at First Baptist includes opportunities for all age groups to grow through Bible study and small group training in discipleship and missions.

Bible study is facilitated through Sunday School each Sunday at 9:45 am. A variety of classes are available for you to choose the type of group you enjoy. Adults may choose co-ed classes as well as ladies or men’s classes. Single adults have the additional option of choosing a co-ed class just for single adults or attending any of the other adult classes. Children’s and youth classes are divided by school grade and preschool age. In Nursery, birth through two years of age are introduced to Bible stories and songs of faith. Our Greeters will meet you at the door and help you locate the class that is right for you.

Sunday evening’s activities begin at 6:00 pm. The first Sunday of the month is Team & Committee Night, the second is Discipleship Night, the third is Fellowship Night, and the fourth is Music Night.

Throughout the year discipleship opportunities are offered at different times of the day throughout the week.  Examples of some of our previous classes include “Becoming a Contagious Christian”, “The Mind of Christ”, “Smart Discipline”, “Financial Planning”, and “Embracing Forgiveness.” Guest speakers are often a part of our discipleship classes.
