What is the schedule on Sundays?

Each Sunday, we have two morning worship services, one at 8:30 a.m. and the other at 11:00 a.m.  A nursery is available beginning at 8:15 a.m. for children up to age 3.  A coffee and doughnut fellowship  is offered each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall, followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 a.m.  During the 11:00 worship service, children ages 4 through grade 2 are invited to attend Children’s Church with Mrs. Jennifer after the children’s sermon.

The First Baptist Youth meet for Bible study Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.  Different evening activities, such as discipleship, music or fellowship, are offered each Sunday for adults and children at 6:00 p.m.

How do I get there?

FBC is conveniently located in downtown Carrollton, just off  “the square”, on the corner of Dixie Street and Newnan Street at 102 Dixie Street.   We are adjacent to the Carroll County Courthouse and beside the BB&T bank.  For more detailed directions, please visit our Directions page.

Where do I park?

There are reserved parking spaces for visitors near the fellowship hall entrance, which faces South White Street.  On weekends, you may also park in the BB&T bank parking lot and deck.

Where do we go?

Look for the Visitor Welcome Center sign outside the fellowship hall entrance, which faces South White Street.  When you visit prior to Sunday school, you’ll be greeted by church members who will give you information about the various class listings for adults and escort you and your family to your Sunday school classes.

What are worship services like?

Our Sunday services are distinct because of their strong emphasis on sacred music and traditional, liturgical worship. Through music, prayer, scripture, silence and the spoken word we lift our hearts to God.

What do I wear?

Many people wear suits and dresses and others wear slacks and polo shirts. Please know you will be welcome no matter what you wear.

Can I meet the Pastor?

The Pastor would love to meet you! Dr. Steve Davis is available at the Dixie Street entrance after worship every Sunday morning. If you would like a more in-depth visit with the Pastor, please call the church office to set up a time for a personal visit or phone call.
