The membership of First Baptist Church is made up of people like you who have chosen to become a part of our fellowship. We come from all walks of life and various backgrounds. We believe that part of God’s plan for us is finding a place in the church where we can grow in unity, learn more about our faith and serve others as God has commanded. We invite you to become part of our family.

Here are the various ways you may become a part of FBC:

By profession of faith and baptism
Publicly stating your faith in Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Savior of your life is the first step in becoming a member of a Baptist church. This is followed by believer’s baptism, an act not necessary for one’s salvation, but one that serves as a visible symbol of what Christ has done in a person’s heart. Believer’s baptism is a prerequisite for church membership.

By transfer of letter
If you are a member of another Baptist church, you might choose to transfer membership from that church to FBC.

By statement
If you are presently a member of another denomination but have a previous relationship with a Baptist church, you may choose to join by statement. Sometimes the baptism and belief of other denominations is closely related to that of Baptists and is recognized as sufficient for membership. Immersion of the believer in what Baptists refer to as believer’s baptism is the key.
Sunday School Membership
Anyone may join our Sunday School or a similar Bible study simply by requesting to become a member. Church membership is not required. This might be a good avenue by which you may explore the Christian faith, the opportunities offered by FBC or the relationships available to you here at the church before committing to church membership.
